Collaborations with home furnishings brands can elevate interior designers’ reputations and may boost their incomes. They can even be fun — if you maintain realistic expectations and put details in writing, say both designers and brands who came together to talk about “Navigating Brand Collaborations” during the 2024 Vacation Rental Design Summit in High Point.

The intertwining of restaurants, gyms, homes, hotels, and residences is emblematic of a larger narrative. Our lifestyles are evolving. They are influenced by the fluidity of contemporary living, the pursuit of individualized experiences, a focus on wellness, and the commercial opportunities arising from this symbiosis. The venture was born from designer Ginger Curtis’ own frustration while browsing for an Airbnb, unable to find a thoughtfully designed space that felt like a true experience. Everything felt dated, basirbanologyc, or beautiful in a photo but cheap and uninspiring in person. Ginger designed the first Urbanology Property to be the solution to that search.

Julia Harmon, co-founder of Vacation Rental Designers shared, “Our goal in launching the membership and mentorship program is to combine our trifecta of experience and knowledge in the vacation rental market and to provide industry perspectives for building a more successful vacation rental business.”
