Even the most seasoned High Point Market attendees will share that they learn something new each time they attend, and I’m no exception. The areas that I seek out the most are those that truly make a difference – the places, tips, tricks and tools that will streamline my market to make it the best possible experience. Here are some new, and old, pieces to incorporate to make market the
Convenience and Ease
Ladies and gentlemen, there are some key elements that will make your market so much easier.

The first, a new initiative from High Point Market Authority and the good people of Feeney – portable, loaned chargers. Available at every white information trailers across market, these chargers are available to borrow until the charge runs out and can be returned to any information trailer for re-charge/exchange. Game changers.
Next up, the Market Authority’s “Go Anywhere” program. In play for a number of markets, it’s one of the most reliable and beautiful conveniences to anyone. Located across the market, to use you call the transportation office at 336-887-7433, make your request and a car will be dispatched to you. The cars are clean and safe and the drivers are delightful. Wait times vary, especially during peak hours, so plan ahead.
Finally, a long held market maker, the IHFC entrance on Green. This “back door” entry to the IHFC building is key for three big reasons. The first is that it is a more lightly used entry and exit as well as a badge pick up location. The wait times are significantly less. There’s also an elevator bank (across from Basset) that tends to be less crowded. Finally, it is a key pick up and drop off location for Uber and Lyft users. I have found that entering the address for the Crown Mark building directly across the street – 200 E. Green, provides the best results. One note here, this entrance is not ADA accessible and I do not recommend it if you have luggage or anything heavy.
A Place to Perch
Most showrooms at market offer a place to sit, but there are a few key standouts for their atmosphere, amenities and designer focused offerings.
First stop: Universal Furniture’s Designer’s Lounge. This is the place to step in, sit down, regroup and relax without concern over being interrupted. It is both beautiful and functional with various seating arrangements, meeting spaces, refreshments and connection both digital and with other designers. No interruptions. Pure joy.

Secondly, the 313 Space. Ever beautiful, it offers one of the most peaceful outdoor spaces at market. You can hear the birds singing, bees humming and soft breeze moving through as you take a moment to soak it all in. The other location at the 313 Space? Let’s call it ‘the back bar’. Accessible through Collected by Schwung, it is located on the first floor at what I always consider “the end” of the Schwung space. It’s special because it offers hand crafted, made-to-order coffee with milk choices, water, beer, wine, and prosecco, sweet treats and homestyle, takeaway sandwiches plus a small bistro-style seating area free of charge. The staff are also the loveliest of people, making this a standout.
Lastly, the bar in the Schonbek showroom in the IHFC. Graceful, sparkling and beautiful, it is lined with comfy bar stools, electrical outlets and all day refreshments.
Strictly “To-The-Trade”

Featured in our market lookbook for two of their new releases with designers Helen Bergin and Nikki Levy, Abner Henry is a standout for their dedication to craft and the trade. Completely custom, all American made with an easy to use B2b website, and unavailable to anyone except designers, this showroom is an absolute must visit.
