Interior Design Society

The initiative aims to create an inclusive and educational environment in the interior design industry by offering support to students with diverse perspectives through a national scholarship and mentoring program. With this new class of recipients, Thermador has now provided a total of 20 design students with access to key industry experts and opportunities since launching the program in 2021.

“A partnership with Science in Design further enhances The Interior Design Society’s dedication to serving our interior designer members,” said Jenny Cano, IDS Executive Director. “We are passionate about bringing the latest education and resources forward and the Science in Design Certification offers the opportunity to expand their knowledge with science-based information.”

Award-winning California designer Wendy Glaister, Wendy Glaister Interiors, and IDS Tour Host since the tour’s 2021 inception commented, “I am so excited to return for the third edition of IDS’ Designer Experience at KBIS! As a member of IDS, I am happy to welcome tour participants and to provide meaningful professional development experiences and personalized introductions to trusted brands who support interior designers.”

DS is thrilled to partner with Thermador once again on this important initiative of building a diverse pipeline of interior designers,” said Jenny Cano, Executive Director of The Interior Design Society. This program is a meaningful collaborative of people and companies who are dedicated to providing an invaluable experience to the future of our industry which is a key component to our purpose as an organization.”
