MICELIO and REVERENCE: collectible design by atelier oï for NEUTRA

An historical reality with more than 140 years of experience in the supply and processing of marble and natural stone, NEUTRA carries on the path inaugurated in 2022 with the entry of Emanuele Chicco Busnelli in the ownership by presenting new collections for furniture of high design and executive value, which borrow the language and values of architecture to transfer them to the living dimension.

Proposals distinguished by a strong personality, which focus on the poetic language of nature, signed by prestigious international designers: atelier oï, Draw Studio, Foster + Partners, Gabriele e Oscar Buratti, Mario Bellini, Migliore+Servetto, Nespoli e Novara, and Zaha Hadid Architects are thus called upon to interpret the company’s vision with furniture proposals for the living area and bathroom area.

atelier oï 2024 COLLECTION

The Swiss design studio atelier oï founded by Aurel Aebi, Armand Louis and Patrick Reymond announced its partnership with NEUTRA on the occasion of Milano Design Week 2024.

The studio aims to amplify the core of the company’s culture of natural materials and stone. It designed a series of lamps suitable for tables, floors, and a modular system of low tables.

These items, with their organic forms and minimalist allure, reinterpret marble by creating new shapes.

REVERENCE

Lamp designed by atelier oï

REVERENCE is an elegant lamp-sculpture, available in floor and table models, that explores the duality of light and stone. These elements merge harmoniously in a vibrant arrangement of shapes.

Named after the French word “révérence” meaning “bow”, the lamp signifies the subtle motion it makes as it adjusts its angle to direct the light beam.

The lamp’s structure, which is composed of two white Carrara marble elements – base and diffuser, embodies the concept of duality. These hollowed out elements create an interplay of full and empty spaces and are united by a sophisticated bronzed brass joint.

The diffuser can be adjusted as desired, allowing for a different light distribution depending on its position, emphasising its dual nature – a sculptural object, almost crystallised in its stone-carved forms, and an item which constantly evolves and moves.

Available in two sizes (table version 16x16x75 cm and floor version 24x24x145 cm), it adds a subtle yet sophisticated elegance to any room.

MICELIO

Modular low table system designed by atelier oï

The modular low table system Micelio reveals an organic landscape and draws its name from the vegetative structure of mushrooms.

The design, distinguished by its unique form, combines two different sculpted elements that enable endless different shapes, dynamically defining the domestic horizon. The compositions can vary in length and depth, with a height of 42/63 cm.

Embodying versatility, the table tops and the bridge elements interact dynamically to create compact or expanded support or seating solutions which adapt to different residential and hospitality needs.

With its flowing shape the natural stone is enhanced by the irregular veins that emphasise its charm. It expresses a sense of softness in stylish contrast with the stone’s hardness.

Available in the white Carrara version, the project can be customised with different marble options upon request.
