Lindye Galloway’s new Spring 2025 collection balances tradition and modernity

With the launch of her second collection for Le Maé, Lindye Galloway sharpens her approach to contemporary heirlooms—furniture that respects traditional craftsmanship while maintaining a clean, modern sensibility. The Spring 2025 Collection, debuting February 3, introduces 13 new pieces that emphasize material richness, sculptural form, and distinctive detailing.

“Spring is a season of renewal, light, and quiet transformation,” says Galloway. “I wanted this collection to capture that feeling—where organic materials, timeless forms, and intentional design come together to create spaces that celebrate life.”

Among her personal favorites are the Amaryllis Dresser and Nightstand, which feature woven handles and a draped tassel—small but deliberate embellishments that add dimension without excess.

The Daffodil Counter Stool and Dining Chair reflect Galloway’s ongoing exploration of arches, blending classical architectural references with restrained, contemporary lines. These four pieces exemplify the collection’s underlying theme: a study in contrast, where historical influences and modern restraint coexist.

A reflection of larger design shifts

Galloway’s latest collection arrives as the industry leans back into traditional furnishings, but with a more layered and adaptable approach. Classic forms and rich textures are returning, often tempered by clean silhouettes and mixed materials. The Daffodil seating collection embodies this interplay, with its sculptural curves lending themselves to both formal and casual settings.

More broadly, designers today are increasingly focused on what makes furniture truly lasting—not just in quality but in emotional resonance. There’s a growing emphasis on pieces imagined as future heirlooms, designed with the intention of being passed down rather than replaced. While not every piece in Galloway’s collection is strictly traditional, each carries a sense of permanence, whether through the warmth of its materials, the precision of its craftsmanship, or the quiet confidence of its design.

The collection also aligns with the broader shift toward warmer, more natural palettes. Deep wood tones and woven details echo Pantone’s Mocha Mousse, a warm brown chosen as the 2025 Color of the Year. These elements reflect a growing demand for interiors that feel grounded and enduring rather than trend-driven. By refining traditional references through a contemporary lens, Galloway continues to shape a design language that is both versatile and lasting. | To explore more Le Maé, shop the full collection here.
