Democratizing showhouses – design disruptor Embello harnesses 6M+ followers for fully virtual showhouse

Chicago, IL – Embello, the preeminent influencer marketing agency for the interior design industry, brings together a strategic roster of twelve designers and eight sponsoring brands with a combined audience of over 6M followers for their second annual completely virtual showhouse, Living by Design. The anticipated showhouse, which is digitally set in a traditional new-build in Brentwood, CA, will go live in September 2023.

All 12 designers selected for this forward-thinking digital design event have impressive social followings made up of home and design enthusiasts from around the country, with 6 million viewers on Instagram alone. Each designer will imagine individual spaces that comprise the 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath West Coast setting, complete with pool. Ranging from household name Bobby Berk and AD100 designer Brigette Romanek, to top-tier designers and influencers, including Marie Flanigan, Dabito, Camille Styles, Paloma Contreras, Will Taylor of Bright Bazaar, and more, they bring together a diverse array of design perspectives to create an exciting shoppable showcase for consumers and industry insiders alike to experience.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be back for another year at the 2023 Living by Design Showhouse,” says design expert and Emmy-nominated TV host Bobby Berk. “It’s truly invigorating to be part of such a groundbreaking and innovative concept in the design industry and among so many talented creatives. Designing spaces exclusively in the virtual realm gives us the freedom to push boundaries, unleash boundless creativity, and redefine the future of design.”

The LBDSH will live on its own dedicated website which features an interactive home tour allowing consumers and designers to tour every space in detail. It will be brought to digital life by 3D visualization experts at YouSee Studio by amalgamating renderings, floor plan schematics, and products selected by each designer.

Through this project, Embello aims to further bridge the gap between the design trade and design-enthused consumers by making each facet open to the public and designed for exploration and engagement through multiple path-to-purchase product callouts, opportunities to engage with brands, and/or set up design consultations. Between the June announcement and September launch, audiences will be invited to follow along behind the scenes of each designer’s process, as mood boards, renderings and sneak peeks will be shared regularly on Instagram.

“Our goal in launching a completely virtual showhouse is to pull back the curtain on a traditionally trade-focused event and make it approachable to anyone interested in design,” remarks founder Laiza Cors. “I love the opportunity to showcase exceptional spaces in a way that is accessible, interactive, shoppable, and waste-free. We can’t wait to reveal what our A-list team of designers dream up this year, as they have full creative freedom with no budget constraints. The Living by Design Showhouse’s doors never close and can be experienced for years beyond launch.”

Sponsoring brands will be highlighted throughout the home including California Closets (organization), Kohler (plumbing), Ann Sacks (tile), Dunn-Edwards DURA (paint), Minted (original and fine art), Lamps Plus (lighting), AHF (flooring) and Summer Classics (outdoor furniture).

To kick off the showhouse, Embello is hosting a national sweepstakes (opening June 6) for a chance to win $5,000 to upgrade your home. For more information and to get a preview of the showhouse, visit; to enter to win, visit
