New and Returning Members Assemble to Advance the Society and Design Community
(September 19, 2024 – Washington, D.C.) – The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has announced its 2024/2025 national board of directors, effective Oct. 1, 2024. Representing all sectors of the interior design profession and varying ASID membership types, including ASID Fellows and the organization’s new affiliate category of membership, the board’s wide blend of rich backgrounds and distinctive perspectives will help extend the Society’s reach in the design community and beyond.
ASID’s 2024/2025 national board will have 12 members and one Ex Officio, made up of three officers (chair, incoming chair and past-chair), nine at-large directors, with two operating as industry partner representatives. The 2024/2025 National Board will be led by David Euscher, ASID, NCIDQ, Associate AIA, WELL AP.

With the announcement of its incoming leadership, the Society also unveiled its new five-year strategic plan. As the governing authority of the Society, the national board of directors’ purpose is to lead and represent ASID and its members through advising, administering, and implementing policies. The board strives to advance the profession through an uplifting lens whilst acknowledging how social, technological, economic, and environmental influences impact the profession. The enactment of the strategic plan aligns with the board’s proposed strategies to focus on strengthening ASID’s core through improved member communications, a refreshed website, diversified leadership and more, to help guide the Society and showcase the power of design to impact lives.

Euscher will take over as the 2024 Board Chair and Von Lehe will govern as the 2024 Board Chair-Elect for ASID.
David Euscher is an award-winning designer, a lecturer at various universities often speaking on the intersection of culture, technology and design. David serves on the Houston Community College Advisory Committee for the Interior Design program, and the Interior Design program Advisory Board at Sam Houston State University Euscher currently works at Corgan’s Houston office as the vice president and interior design studio leader. With over 30 years of experience, Euscher has designed and led interior design projects for a multitude of sectors and approaches each with a desire to improve the wellbeing of the people served by the space. He achieves this by learning everything he can about the client, their context, culture and aspirations. Listening and engaging has led Euscher to exceptional results for the populations served by the spaces he designs.
Elizabeth Von Lehe currently serves as interior design director at HDR and leads teams and projects internationally. Von Lehe is an award-winning design leader with professional experience across multiple industries who champions a holistic approach to design, embracing not only the built form, but branding, curation and the development of user experience from every angle. As an active member of ASID, she has served on the National Board of Directors, supported student mentorship initiatives, and served on a variety of volunteer committees. Von Lehe also serves as a regular graduate mentor and panelist for her alma mater, Columbia University and is an adjunct professor for a special studio course with Institute Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France.
ASID welcomes three new board members: Kendra Ordia, RID, NCIDQ, LEED AP, and Lauren Corbin.
ASID’S NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Kendra Ordia is an assistant professor of interior design in the College of Architecture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has focused on healthcare and workplace design throughout her career at top design firms like Perkins&Will, Gensler and CallisonRTKL. Her teaching and research explore human behavior and the built environment expressed in themes of biophilic design, health and wellbeing, environmental quality and spatial ecologies. Ordia’s research has been featured in “Interiors: Design/Architecture/Culture,” and her nature-inspired work has been exhibited at several national and international exhibitions including Public Interiority, DesignLAB Next Nest Exhibition and at Curtains: The Center for American Architecture and Design Symposium. In 2020, she was recognized as an ASID’s Ones to Watch scholar. In 2023, she was awarded the Interior Design Educator Council Teaching Excellence Award, and in 2024, she was recognized as the ASID Educator of the Year. As an NCIDQ-certified designer, she is actively involved in Interior Design licensing advocacy in the state and Nebraska.
Lauren Corbin joined Benjamin Moore in Fall 2021 as the senior manager of the Architect & Design Segment. In this newly created role, Corbin will develop innovative and strategic programs with the architecture and design community and represent the Benjamin Moore brand across high-level industry events and organizations. Before her appointment at Benjamin Moore, Corbin had been the associate director of Brand Partnerships & Development for the Hearst Design Collection: ELLE Decor, House Beautiful, and VERANDA since 2016, creating strategic programs, custom events and multi-channel marketing opportunities with the design community. Corbin developed and produced noteworthy initiatives including: Design Unites, Design U., Obsidian Virtual Concept House and ELLE Decor’s Not for Sale, among many others. Before this, Corbin was the international fashion coordinator at Harper’s BAZAAR, where she managed and executed sales and marketing activations for all luxury fashion, jewelry and watch accounts.
