Design Miami.Paris announces preview highlights for its second edition 

Design Miami.Paris announces its preview highlights from the galleries presenting at the second edition of its flagship Parisian fair. Returning to L’hôtel de Maisons, the 18th century mansion in the cultural district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the fair will run alongside Art Basel Paris from October 16-20, 2024, with Preview Day held on October 15.

Craft x Tech, a fusion of tradition and innovation debuting at The London Design Festival

Following its successful Tokyo debut at Kudan House in May and fresh off winning the Best Curio Presentation Award at Design Miami.Basel in June, the 2024 edition of Craft x Tech showcases a series of groundbreaking collaborations between six renowned international creators and master artisans from the Tohoku region of Japan. 

DESIGN MIAMI.BASEL concludes successful 18th edition of flagship Swiss fair

The week kicked off with positive early sales. Galerie Meubles et Lumières, winner of the fair’s Best Gallery Presentation award, reported the sale of two hero pieces within its booth very quickly upon opening: the Anemone sofa  by Jean-Pierre Laporte, a circular set of seating in a flower bud formation, and the large-scale, structural chandelier, Cassiopée by Max Sauze.

The 18th edition of DESIGN MIAMI.BASEL is now open, spotlighting rare and unique presentations of collectible design from over 25 exhibitors at the fair’s established location, the Basel Messeplatz.

Tohoku Project presents Craft x Tech during Design Miami/Basel

Craft x Tech features collaborations with renowned designers from around the world such as Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis who works with Akita artisans and presents Yōkan, a series of two tables with a voluminous design and a wall-mounted piece, all lacquered in Kawatsura Shikki’s style.

The inaugural edition of DESIGN MIAMI.LA opens today, taking place until May 20, 2024 at a private Holmby Hills estate. The fair’s Curatorial Director, Ashlee Harrison, offers a dynamic program of collectible design, serving as a testament to California’s rich design heritage as an international arbiter of taste. From the post-war mid-century design boom and car culture, to the entertainment industry and space age engineering, the fair explores themes of eclecticism, imagination, and nostalgia – all integral to the city’s design landscape.

DESIGN MIAMI.BASEL announces its preview highlights from the galleries presenting at the 18th edition of the fair. Returning to its iconic Swiss location at Basel’s Messeplatz, this edition will run from June 11 – 16, 2024, with Preview Day on June 10.
