Collectible design

The week kicked off with positive early sales. Galerie Meubles et Lumières, winner of the fair’s Best Gallery Presentation award, reported the sale of two hero pieces within its booth very quickly upon opening: the Anemone sofa by Jean-Pierre Laporte, a circular set of seating in a flower bud formation, and the large-scale, structural chandelier, Cassiopée by Max Sauze.

Interior designer Antonia Caicedo brings her global perspective to her recently launched “Antonia Collection” – a curated line of case goods, upholstery, and lighting that forges a stylish bond between Art Deco and Mid-Century modern aesthetics. The collection is the result of collaborative partnerships between Caicedo and three respected industry brands: artisan atelier JIMECO, EJ Victor and Fine Art Lamps.

The inaugural edition of DESIGN MIAMI.LA concluded yesterday, Monday 20 May 2024, following a five day show at a private Holmby Hills estate. The new West Coast fair offered a dynamic program of collectible design, serving as a testament to California’s rich design heritage as an international arbiter of taste.
