Furniture brand Jonathan Louis is celebrating its 40th anniversary by unveiling Casae, a new design studio and luxury upholstery brand the company is debuting at this spring’s High Point Market.
Jonathan Louis says Casae is designed to bridge “the gap between exceptional craftsmanship and smart pricing” and describes the new brand as an “an elevated, artisanal approach to custom upholstery standing distinctly apart from the core brand.” Casae is aimed at style-driven retailers, e-commerce platforms and interior designers who seek “a shared creative experience.” The name comes from a Latin word for “home.”

Casae’s first launch includes eight luxury collections, focused on sculptural forms and rich textures, with all designed for functional versatility.
“This launch is both a celebration and a turning point,” said Javier Sanchez, CEO of Jonathan Louis. “Casae speaks to the next generation of design leaders; those who seek identity and intention in the pieces they specify. It reflects who we are and where we’re going.”

Pieces in the Casae launch include accent chairs, sofas and sectionals marked by architectural simplicity, tactile beauty and architectural simplicity. Among the offerings are the Maeve sectional with tufted back cushions. It is composed of seven pieces, including a curved lounge on one end. The barrel-style Avila accent chair celebrates curves from top to bottom and the Vernet accent chair with wood frame pairs graceful lines with dramatic angles.
“Casae was born from our enduring passion for design and deep respect for the craft,” adds Heidi Gonzalez, vice president of product development. “It’s a collaborative space where timeless craftsmanship meets forward-thinking design. We’re here to co-create with our partners.”
Buyers can see the new Casae brand in Jonathan Louis’ 5,600-square-foot showroom at Centers of High Point, 401 S. Centennial St., 121 Floor 1.
Los Angeles-based Jonathan Louis was founded in 1985 by David Harrow and is now led by Sanchez and Chief Operating Officer Johnny Valle. The company produces upholstery for living room and bedroom at facilities in eight California and Mexico.
