Deck the Halls: The Holiday Products Designers Need Now
The holidays may feel far away. The best pieces are already calling.
Despite the August heat, our sights are firmly set on the holidays. We’re not rushing the season, but the pieces worth having rarely wait until December. For designers looking to make the holidays feel a little more considered—and considerably more chic—now is the time to source. Here, our edit of designer-driven holiday finds destined to make your clients’ celebrations all the more memorable.
The ornaments
The tree deserves its jewelry, too. From crystal-studded stars and gilded glass to hand-painted keepsakes, these ornaments bring a little more artistry to the branches.

We’ve had our eyes on chickens as a low key movement for a while now, and Cody Foster brings it with his take on an heirloom hen house for the tree.

Ever in search of the one-of-a-kind, storied piece, Jordan Connely’s Shell VI ornament checks the box. Hand-painted, gloss varnished and tied with a silk ribbon.

Joanna Buchanan’s glitzy flamingo ornament adds just the right touch of ornament sparkle. We also love this as the final touch to a wrapped gift or tied onto a bottle of gifted spirits.
The trims
The tree is tradition. The trimmings are personality. Garlands, paper chains, lights and a spectacular topper are what make it memorable.

One of our favorite finds at Shoppe Object is this British maker of stationery, gifts, and decor. Their marbled paper chain kit brings back instant holiday nostalgia.

House of Pixen’s handmade tree topper is their take on ceiling star paintings commissioned for the Mausoleo diGalla Placidia in Ravenna, Italy. Each piece is considered one-of-a-kind.

You cannot have a properly trimmed tree without a garland. John Derian does a tree right with these handcrafted, traditional Czech hollow-glass beads, silvered and strung with tiny glass bells.

A tree skirt, but make it quilted-chic. Pomegranate brings red out to play with their block-printed, quilted red tree skirt.
The table manners
A well-dressed table knows how to behave—and when to break the rules. From marbled plates and pheasants to lush greens and a little snowflake sparkle, these are the details that make gathering beautifully anything but ordinary.

We’re adore Buchanan’s original cocktail pics, but are even bigger fans of her sparkling straws.

Nothing says holiday quite like a golden pheasant. Mrs. Alice’s interpretation is the perfect touch of shimmer.

Sharland England’s ceramic Marbre collection is handcrafted and the line is newly available in the US.

What’s a holiday table without greenery? The Magnolia Company is a centuries-old family farm specializing in fresh magnolia products. Their Fresh Bunches garland is exactly the right amount of color and texture on a holiday table.
