100 year history of design leadership

Hooker Furnishings’ flagship brand turned 100 this year and to mark the centennial milestone, the company recently kicked off a year-long celebration to chronicle its 100-year history of design leadership, culture, and legacy of giving. 

Serving as the cornerstone of its 100th anniversary celebration, the company launched a signature philanthropic program – 100 Acts of Kindness – designed to amplify its spirit of giving in an even more meaningful way during its centennial year. The nation-wide program aims to further enhance the lives of those in need, broadening its reach to communities across the U.S.

Partnerships with interior designers

One designer-focused initiative that recently kicked off is in partnership with Star Furniture. As part of the initiative, the retailer is partnering with professional interior designers to create vignettes in several of its showrooms featuring accent pieces from Hooker Furnishings’ Susan G. Komen® licensed collection.

In addition to the products, the vignettes include breast cancer survivor and awareness materials. The campaign also includes a raffle and social media activities benefiting Susan G. Komen® as well as cancer treatment-related facilities in Star Furniture’s local communities.
