Andreu World opens first West Coast showroom

Spanish furnishings brand Andreu World has opened its first West Coast location in the heart of San Francisco’s financial district, part of the company’s effort to strengthen its relationship with North American designers. Andreu World, based in Valencia, Spain, also has U.S. showrooms in Boston, Chicago, Kansas City, New York and Washington, D.C.

Andreu World is known for producing furnishings using sustainably harvested woods.

“This expansion establishes our company’s investment in the North American market to offer more sustainable options to consumers and cements Andreu World’s place as a global leader within the industry,” said Jesus Llinares, chief executive officer of Andreu World, in a news release.

The 5,000-square-foot showroom, designed by an Andreu World team, presents a wide range of chairs, armchairs, stools, sofas, and meeting and auxiliary tables, including collaborator Philippe Starck’s Adela Rex collection and Patricia Urquiola’s Nuez Lounge Bio collection.

Andreu World used the May grand opening of the showroom to highlight its newest designs with Starck.

The inspiration for the interior design of the San Francisco space stems from Andreu World’s use of natural wood, and is seen throughout space and in its new indoor and outdoor furniture collections for use in offices, corporate headquarters, restaurants and hotels, educational institutions, outdoor terraces and homes.

The company also has U.S. showrooms in Boston, Chicago, Kansas City, New York and Washington, D.C.

In keeping with Andreu World’s sustainable mission and its 100% certification from the Forest Stewardship Council, the company also is fully committed to integrating all of its materials, processes and products into the circular economy before 2025. All wood products and materials produced by Andreu World are fully sustainable and recyclable, the company says. Starck’s Adela Rex line demonstrates sustainability through its use of slow-grown, FSC-certified wood from reforested forests.

“The brand prioritizes social responsibility and care for the environment and aims as an organization to continue improving the quality of life for our environment,” the news release said.
