As the kitchen continues to evolve as both a design centerpiece and a space for connection, the most forward-thinking brands are helping interior designers reshape expectations of form, function and personality to provide their clients with fresh ideas in the heart of the home. True Residential and Caliber—known collectively as True Caliber—are among the names driving that shift. Celebrated within the trade for their precision craftsmanship and distinctive design language, the brands are redefining what modern luxury looks like in the kitchen.
Looking toward 2026, True Caliber’s vision reflects the ideas resonating most with today’s designers: bold customization, grounded color palettes inspired by nature and a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living. Each speaks to a more intentional, expressive approach to the way people cook, entertain and gather. Here, the brand’s team shares their perspective on the movements shaping kitchens in the year ahead, where innovation and individuality take center stage. Brand representatives weigh in on some of these key defining design movements, including:
Customization
“Customization is the new standard,” declares Chelsea Bothe, Brand & Marketing Manager at True Caliber, “we’ve seen a significant number of designers leaning into highly personalized kitchen elements, from statement appliances in vibrant hues to hardware choices that feel like jewelry.” Specializing in creating highly customizable, high-performance refrigeration and grills, True Caliber has a signature Build Your True program of finishes and hardware that currently yields 84 unique combinations, in addition to extensive color-matching capabilities (shown above in Sorbet).
Earthy Color Palettes
“We’re seeing color palettes shift more toward nature-inspired hues that create harmony with the surrounding environment—think soft sky blues, earthy sage and olive greens, and warm saffron accents,” says Bothe. With this in mind, True Caliber unveiled Olive as its 2025 Color of the Year (shown above), a gorgeous deep green with hints of grey characterized by its soothing and grounding nature. Olive joins True’s organic, nature-toned finish lineup that also includes Bluestone, Saffron, and Sage.
Indoor-Outdoor Kitchen Connection
The residential market continues to gravitate towards homes with a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. “We’re also seeing homeowners match their interior color palette to full-service outdoor kitchens, replete with state-of-the-art grills in sophisticated finishes—especially those with disappearing lids for maximized socializing,” shares Kay Trulaske, Sales & Marketing at True Caliber. This is where Caliber’s innovative yet chic Rockwell Social Grill dazzles! The 360-degree, walk-around grill (envisioned by design legend David Rockwell!) features a fully retractable “disappearing lid” that allows for uninterrupted entertaining and seamless transitions when opening or closing the lid (above in Sage).
Rise of Gathering Space
“The kitchen is evolving into the ultimate gathering space,” states Chelsea Bothe, Brand & Marketing Manager at True Caliber “It’s no longer just about cooking; it’s about connection.” Bridging those connections is True Caliber’s assortment of undercounter units, including the beloved Undercounter Beverage Dispenser (above in Stainless Steel)—available as a single or dual tap—which dispenses the perfect draft pour and can be configured to offer cold brew for those early mornings.
