SCOTTSDALE, Arizona (January 9, 2026) –The REMI. Scottsdale, Autograph Collection, has officially opened, bringing a bold new vision for boutique hospitality to the heart of Scottsdale’s Hospitality District. With public spaces by the acclaimed architecture and design studio Rockwell Group, The REMI. offers an immersive hospitality experience that blends high-design sensibility with the vibrancy of its urban surroundings.

The hotel’s name, The REMI., stems from the phenomenon of reminiscing, reflecting how nostalgic yet modern design elements create a sensory-rich environment that sparks memory, emotion, and connection. From its inception, The REMI. was envisioned as an “odyssey of the senses” – a guest experience that unfolds across twelve floors, from lively street-level social spaces to an elevated rooftop pool and panoramic desert views. Rockwell Group’s design concept for the REMI.’s lobby, restaurants, and rooftop embraces Scottsdale’s Western heritage through a contemporary, globally informed lens.

“Scottsdale is a city on the rise with a modern arts and culture heartbeat,” said Greg Keffer, AIA, LEED AP, Partner and Studio Leader, Rockwell Group. “It’s also known as the ‘West’s most Western town.’ In our design for the public spaces at The REMI., we wanted to embrace Scottsdale’s roots in unexpected, fresh ways. The lobby lounge, restaurants, and rooftop are inspired by the surrounding landscape and energy of the neighborhood, with slatted dimensional wood, organic forms that recall the big open sky, local stone, and glazed openings that celebrate expansive views.”

Lobby Experience: A Social Threshold Between Public and Private
The REMI.’s journey begins at ground level, where thoughtful architectural gestures create an immersive welcome that blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. Guests enter a triple-height, glazed lobby – the hotel’s social centerpiece – designed by Rockwell Group to reflect the openness and energy of the surrounding desert landscape.

A patinaed brass bar and sculptural conical fireplace invite connection, while a monumental floating art installation by Kendall Buster evokes the clouds of the Western sky. A curving stone staircase leads guests upward to the Kauboi restaurant and the entertainment deck.

Guest Sanctuaries: A Sense of Openness and Connection
The REMI.’s 161 guest rooms, including 25 suites, are designed to maximize natural light and frame the surrounding landscape. Each room boasts expansive windows, strategic balcony placements, and solar shading devices that provide guests with a sense of openness and connection to both the urban activity below and stunning views of the Sonoran Desert. For guests seeking a more immersive experience, two Loft Suites open directly onto the pool deck, offering VIP access with all the comforts of a private retreat.

Rooftop: Elevated Moments Above the City
The REMI. reaches its architectural pinnacle on the rooftop, where a bar and pool deck provide an elevated escape above the buzz of the district. With sweeping, unobstructed vistas of Camelback Mountain and the surrounding desert skyline, the space celebrates light, air, and refined social connection. The rooftop pool is surrounded by lounge chairs, private cabanas, and a monumental mural of abstracted figures by Franco Egalite (Francorama) that has been translated and fabricated into custom tile. The floor is composed of overlapping rectangular tiles of different colors referencing Moroccan rugs.

Distinctive Culinary Venues
The hotel’s dining venues are equally designed with signature elements that imbue each space with its own distinctive character. Throughout these culinary destinations, The REMI. features a series of commissioned artworks by artist Ernest Roberts, whose vibrant mixed-media approach adds layered storytelling and visual energy to each environment.

- F/Sixteen – Located on the ground floor, F/Sixteen draws its inspiration from the nearby Air Force base established in the early 1940s. Echoing the forms of classic American diners and aviation design, the space features terrazzo bands circling the bar – subtle nods to viewfinders and runways. A teal corrugated metal bar anchors the room, framed by walnut wall paneling, neon accents, and painted tambour. Historic photographs and artwork inspired by airplane “nose” art round out the nostalgic yet modern atmosphere.
- Kauboi – Kauboi is a Japanese Steakhouse, complete with a whiskey lounge and outdoor event terrace. Its design is rooted in a post-WWII moment when American cowboy culture found a unique and unexpected foothold in Japan. That cultural crossover is expressed through earthy materials, leather accents, and layered brickwork. The whiskey lounge stands out with its blue-glazed brick walls, a rough stone and metal channel bar, and glazed lavastone tile backing.
- Kauboi Terrace – Extending the dining experience outdoors, Kauboi Terrace is a social gathering space, visually connecting with the high-energy Maya Dayclub below. The open-air terrace features reflection pools, integrated planter benches, private cabanas, and a yakitori-style grill. A two-toned brick, double-sided fireplace mirrors the surrounding breeze-block trellises and layered brick textures, creating a visually dynamic environment for gatherings and events.
- Allegra Rooftop Pool & Bar – Allegra takes inspiration from the region’s late 19th-century citrus groves, viewed through the lens of Moroccan design. As guests step out of the elevators, they are greeted by a vibrant citrus-themed mural by artist Ben Lewis Giles, setting the tone for an immersive, transportive experience. The open-air bar is formed from layered, tile-clad horizontal planes that echo the surrounding landscape, creating a space that feels both elevated and rooted in place.
The REMI. redefines what it means to stay, gather, and experience Scottsdale. With its expressive design language, layered programming, and architecture rooted in environmental responsiveness, the hotel marks a turning point in the evolution of the Hospitality District. More than a place to stay, The REMI. is a multi-sensory journey that reflects Scottsdale’s history, celebrates its cultural future, and invites guests into an unforgettable new chapter.
