HOUSTON, April 2, 2026 – Star Furniture hosted the Houston chapter of the Interior Design Society March 26 as the professional organization kicked off its day-long excursion to the Original Round Top Antiques Fair, a little less than two hours from Houston.

More than 40 members of the local chapter, led by 2026 IDS Houston President Juliana Ewer, gathered at Star’s Katy location for breakfast and networking with Star team members. Vice President Marketing Michael Galloway presented an overview of its trade program to designers, which includes flexible discounts and award-winning delivery.

“We brought in our logistics parter Charles Johnson from Servant Logistics to dig into the capabilities we offer to designers, including receiving, warehousing and nationwide shipping,” said Vice President of Marketing Michael Galloway.

Galloway finished the presentation discussing the company’s partnership with local charity Houston Furniture Bank, which Star has been involved with since the early ‘90s. The furniture bank transforms the lives of families transitioning out of homelessness by providing essential home furnishings.
