Production News: Sunbrella Adds Shift at Specialty Yarn Plant
To meet increased demand for textural fabrics, Sunbrella has added a new shift to its specialty yarn plant in Burlington, NC. The plant typically operates two shifts per day and produces the company’s highly textural and unique yarns available for indoor and outdoor furnishings. With the addition of a new shift and new associates, the facility is operating 24 hours a day, five days a week to support increased production of these yarns.
“We are committed to fulfilling orders quickly and reliably to meet the interest in textural fabrics and novelty yarns. This new shift in Burlington will help us meet demand, continue to maintain our in-stock rate and be a reliable partner to our customers,” said Joseph Davis, president of Glen Raven Material Solutions Group.
Burlington is one of five manufacturing facilities Sunbrella has in the United States. In recent years, Sunbrella has made investments to expand and upgrade production capabilities to offer best-in-class service in the U.S. and effectively support its partners and the supply chain.

In time for patio season and outdoor living across the country, Sunbrella has released three new cleaning solutions for performance fabrics:
- Sunbrella® Renew™ Mold & Mildew Stain Remover ($29.99, 32 fl oz) removes stubborn mold and mildew stains from your outdoor fabrics with the power of bleach. The convenient 2-in-1 spray nozzle allows for seamless transition between foam spray for targeted application or standard spray for larger surface areas. Renew is specifically formulated to clean all Sunbrella outdoor fabrics, including upholstery, cushions, umbrellas, fabric awnings, boat covers, Bimini tops and Sunbrella Horizon® Marine vinyl.
- Sunbrella® Erase™ Stain & Spot Remover ($19.99, 2 pack) is an easy stain removing pen that fights tough spots and stains as soon as they happen. Sunbrella Erase is a quick solution that uses the stain fighting power of bleach to penetrate deep into fabric fibers to lift stains, leaving fabric looking like new. This product is safe to use on all Sunbrella fabrics, including upholstery, cushions, umbrellas, fabric awnings, boat covers, Bimini tops and Sunbrella Horizon® Marine vinyl.
- Sunbrella® Mold & Mildew Stain Remover Kit ($86.99) is an all-in-one kit to remove mold and mildew stains from Sunbrella fabrics. The kit comes with three products – Sunbrella Clean™ Multi-Purpose Fabric Cleaner, Sunbrella Renew™ Mold & Mildew Stain Remover and Sunbrella Restore™ Fabric Protector & Repellent – and is specially formulated to clean and remove stubborn stains on all Sunbrella fabrics, including upholstery, cushions, umbrellas, fabric awnings and boat covers.

Trade Show News: Sunbrella Showcasing New Collections and Collaborations at Interwoven
Sunbrella will be showcasing 140 new SKUs from the new Sunbrella Spring Introductions at Interwoven, including a collaboration between Block Shop and Sunbrella. In addition, Sunbrella will showcase the Max Humphrey x Pindler x Sunbrella collection featuring 27 total new SKUs across 6 patterns.
Sunbrella will debut Spring Introductions, which fuse a medley of aesthetics that are intended to be layered for unique and personable interiors. Texture-centric and luxurious wovens lend a fresh interpretation of classic linen weaves, chunky basket weaves and simple, yet sophisticated stripes.
