NEW YORK, NY (February 12, 2026) — Materio, a project operating system for interior designers and design-build teams, has named Jaime Brown as Head of Sales & Partnerships. In this role, Brown will lead Materio’s inbound sales strategy, customer engagement, and partnerships, reflecting the brand’s continued investment in building a leadership team rooted in the realities of the design and build industry.
A recognized leader in design technology and strategic partnerships, Brown brings over a decade of experience helping interior design and design-build firms modernize operations and scale with purpose-built systems. Prior to joining Materio, Brown held senior leadership roles at Studio Designer and DesignDocs.
“Jaime brings a rare combination of powerful industry credibility and firsthand experience helping designers actually implement the tools meant to support their work,” said Mary Beth Chau, Co-Founder and CEO of Materio. “She has sold, supported, and partnered with many of the platforms designers use today, which gives her a clear perspective on where those tools fall short, and why Materio is fundamentally different. Jaime came highly recommended by partners we trust, and her strategic mindset and clear understanding of customer needs position her perfectly to help take Materio’s growth to the next level.”
“I’ve spent my career working alongside designers as they try to scale their businesses across a patchwork of disconnected tools,” said Jaime Brown, Head of Sales & Partnerships at Materio. “This work is personal to me; my mom is a retired interior designer, and I’ve seen how the right tools can both empower creative thinking and meaningfully support a designer’s livelihood. I’m excited to help more firms discover a better way to run their businesses and to build partnerships that expand Materio’s impact across the industry.”
Materio was founded by Mary Beth Chau and Thomas Chau after experiencing firsthand how fragile the building process can feel from the homeowner’s side. During their own New York City apartment renovation, they saw how much responsibility designers and builders carry without a central hub for project planning. Critical details lived across text messages, emails, and PDFs, making it harder to maintain confidence as projects evolved. With careers in building large-scale software systems, they saw how easily even well-run projects can be derailed when information is scattered.
“Materio equips professionals with real-time insights, meaning when one design element changes, the effects ripple through the rest of the project – from purchasing to billing – helping ensure that what’s designed, approved, and ordered stays aligned as work moves forward,” says Chau. “Jaime can speak with authority to the Materio difference and how a dependable, centralized project delivery system can help designers feel more confident running every facet of their businesses.”
In her role as Head of Sales & Partnerships, Brown will lead Materio’s inbound sales strategy, overseeing the full sales pipeline while driving consistent, scalable revenue growth. She will also build and manage strategic partnerships across the design and construction ecosystem to expand brand awareness, strengthen go-to-market efforts, and unlock new growth opportunities.
