Hudson Valley Lighting Group acquires Sonneman

Wappinger Falls, N.Y. — Hudson Valley Lighting Group (HVLG) announced Monday it has acquired Sonneman – A Way of Light, a move that expands its presence in the contemporary LED lighting market.

The acquisition brings SONNEMAN, a brand celebrated for its modern aesthetics and pioneering LED technology, into HVLG’s existing portfolio, which includes Hudson Valley Lighting, Mitzi, Troy Lighting, Corbett and CSL. HVLG said the addition strengthens its capabilities in configurable LED lighting and enhances offerings in both residential and commercial sectors.

“SONNEMAN represents the best of what modern lighting can be — intelligent, artistic and purposefully designed,” said David Littman, founder and CEO of HVLG. Littman was previously a co-owner of SONNEMAN until 2018, making the deal a personal milestone as well as a strategic one.

The acquisition integrates SONNEMAN’s advanced product lines — including the Suspenders® Architectural Lighting System and the Inside-Out™ collection — into HVLG’s operations. With thousands of LED-powered SKUs, SONNEMAN adds greater architectural flexibility and technological depth to HVLG’s product catalog.
