Martinsville, VA — April 2, 2026 — Hooker Furnishings has announced that industry veteran Mark Cowan has been appointed vice president of sales for Hooker Branded. In this role, he will focus on developing and implementing sales strategies, discovering growth opportunities, and aligning sales initiatives with the overall brand direction. He will report to Adam Tilley, president of Hooker Branded.
Cowan brings decades of leadership experience in home furnishings to his new role. Most recently, he was vice president of sales at Bernhardt Furniture, where he managed sales and customer service teams supporting the company’s residential case goods division. His career also includes executive sales leadership positions at Universal Furniture, where he oversaw daily operations and P&L performance across a 23-state market area, and at American Furniture Brands, where he directed the company’s strategic sales planning and execution.
