Medellín, Colombia, 2026-01-05 – Garden of the Soul is an interior yoga and wellness space where lighting plays a central role in shaping a calm, introspective, and sensorial experience. Designed by ESTUDIO DEDÓS, the lighting concept was developed to support mindfulness practices, while respecting the natural rhythms of the body and the architecture of the space.

The project explores a layered lighting strategy that combines soft ambient light, indirect illumination, and controlled accents to create an atmosphere of balance and emotional comfort. Special attention was given to glare control, warm color temperatures, and smooth transitions throughout the day, allowing the space to adapt to different moments, from daytime practices supported by natural light, to evening sessions that require a more intimate and grounding environment.

Lighting control systems were integrated to modulate intensity and scenes according to the time of day, enhancing the connection between artificial and natural light. This approach reinforces the project’s focus on wellbeing, reducing visual stress and supporting a more conscious and restorative spatial experience.

Rather than acting as a decorative element, light becomes an invisible guide that enhances the architecture, materials, and sensory perception of the space. Garden of the Soul demonstrates how thoughtful lighting design can contribute to wellness-oriented interiors, creating environments that encourage pause, reflection, and reconnection.
