Launched at Decorex 2023 in three timeless metal finishes – Jordan Bronze, Satin, and Antique Brass – the Focus SB® Ambassador Wall Light is now available for the first time in Chocolate Bronze, Unlacquered Brass, Satin Nickel, and Polished Chrome.
In an exclusive design collaboration between master craftsman Gwyn Carless at The Light Yard and Focus SB’s in-house finishing experts, the Focus SB Ambassador Wall Light offers a striking addition to the British premium electrical accessories manufacturer’s extensive Ambassador Square product range.
Made from quality solid brass featuring traditional artisanal techniques, the Focus SB Ambassador Wall Light is designed in an industry-first collaboration with Gwyn Carless at The Light Yard, offering interior designers bespoke handcrafted bedside lighting, benefitting from Focus SB’s ability to match finishes across complementary specialist hospitality products, light switches, and sockets in its popular Ambassador faceplate style, all manufactured in-house in the UK.

Winner of the 2024 Lighting category in the SBID International Design Awards, the Focus SB Ambassador Wall Light range features elegant long thin rectangular clear, smoked and reeded glass shades, with each piece paired with striking Tubular Gold Flex LED filament dimmable lamps. The bespoke bedside light panel, designed in the Ambassador Square faceplate style, is also available in the Ambassador Classic range.
The glass shade details of each Ambassador Wall Light are cut by hand using traditional techniques (a ruler and glass knife), and bonded by hand at Gwyn’s Chesterfield studio. Notably, also launched at Decorex 2023, was Focus SB’s patent pending flat screwless Renaissance faceplate style. The Renaissance faceplate style is a design-first, screwless flat plate with luxurious solidity and distinctive finish detail.
The company’s recently introduced low-voltage Renaissance Architrave Keypad Switches are shortlisted in the 2025 SBID Awards, Product of the Year – Residential category. The minimalist Renaissance narrow wall plates are available in five finishes exclusive to the range, comprising Ochre, Roma, Sienna, Umber, and Canvas.
With a desirable traditional style aesthetic, Focus SB’s [d]arc award winning low-voltage keypads in its modern Renaissance low profile screwless faceplate style feature programmable momentary action (retractive) push buttons for use with inline dimmers, lighting, and blind controls systems.
Switches are available with or without LED indicators, and keypad faceplates (and square push button switches) can be laser marked in-house with custom brand iconography or text. Made in-house in the UK, Renaissance comes with a recycling programme.
