Dress for Fall 2023: BEMZ debuts its moody 70s collection

Sophisticated earth tones, vintage vibes, and sexy interplay of textures

Bemz’s fall 2023 collection invites you to an exciting intersection of 1970’s-inspired fabrics and modern, undulating shapes. Bemz is a Swedish design company that produces custom-made, high-quality covers for IKEA furniture, and home textiles. The new collection includes covers suitable for IKEA sofas, as well as armchairs and chairs, but this autumn, the sofa is truly the scene-stealer, taking its rightful place as the centerpiece of the home.

“We want to reclaim the sofa as the big, bold star of a home’s interior,” says Filippa Bonde, head of product and production at Bemz. She observes, “the sofa has been undergoing a metamorphosis, and it’s very evident this season. It’s the bigger the better, with sofas becoming the conversation piece in a room.”

The AW23 Moody Seventies Collection offers classic fabrics, tapping into the throwback trend, but offers fresh interpretations. Think embossed striped and checked velvet fabrics, chunky corduroy, and a chenille with a plush, thick texture.

Characterized by a blend of optimism and subdued, atmospheric shades, the 1970s color palettes were a font of inspiration for Bonde. The collection includes fabrics with moody tones of burnt sienna, deep mustard, and dark green, as well as an energizing, electric blue.

As always, Bemz is committed to sustainable manufacturing practices. “With this collection, we continue to explore recycled fibers, both recycled polyester and cotton, for a soft feel and a contemporary look,” explains Bonde.

The collection features five different fabrics available in 11 colors, with prices starting at $249. The collection is available at www.bemz.com. All products are made on demand, and are delivered within approximately three weeks after order.
