June 2025, Miami, FL, USA – This year, Design Miami celebrates its 20th anniversary as the global forum for collectible design. In celebration of this milestone, the brand announces its 2025 events program, and an expansion of its global platform to include a debut initiative: Design Miami. In Situ. True to its mission to champion leading voices in design – both historic and contemporary – this year’s programming will celebrate the pioneering collectible design galleries and visionary designers who have shaped Design Miami’s evolution, whilst also looking ahead to the future and far-reaching impact of design.
2025 will welcome a robust program of fairs and activations, including the third edition of Design Miami’s Paris fair this October, and culminating the anniversary year in Miami Beach for its flagship edition, both of which remain at the heart of the brand’s mission to showcase the best of collectible design. Alongside these marquee events, Design Miami’s new In Situ programming will expand its global touchpoints in new and experimental ways.
Design Miami. In Situ has been designed to offer a global platform for an evolving program of highly regionalized experiences that celebrate the richness of local design communities. The initiative will first launch with an intimate one-day event in Aspen, Colorado this July; followed by a 14-day exhibition in Seoul, South Korea this September, with additional global activations to be announced in due course.
“For 20 years, Design Miami has been dedicated to platforming the very best of historic and contemporary collectible design on the global stage. As the design world and market evolves, so do the ways our community engages with it. As we mark this incredible milestone year, we remain committed to our fair model while also expanding our platform to create new, meaningful ways to connect with the global design community. The year ahead is a celebration of where we have been, whilst we look forward to the next 20 years.” – Jen Roberts, CEO, Design Miami
