Clay Imports and Haus of Meeshie debut ‘Clay x HoM’ a bold, colorful, unhinged tile collaboration

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, November 12, 2025 — Austin-based Clay Imports and Los Angeles-based Haus of Meeshie unveil Clay x HoM, a vibrant tile collection that celebrates fearless design and the joy of color. Designed during an artist residency in San Miguel de Allende, the collection merges Clay Imports’ craft-driven approach with Haus of Meeshie Founder and Creative Director Meeshie Fahmy’s vibrant and maximalist vision.

Inspired by Mexico’s iconic oilcloth table coverings, the Clay x HoM collection reimagines nostalgic florals and punchy hues into sculptural tiles that capture the region’s joyful spirit. “Working with Meeshie brought a new kind of energy into the residency,” says Nick Barreiro, Founder of Clay Imports. “Her sense of color and pattern pushed us to explore unexpected directions. The result feels both familiar and refreshingly new.”

Fahmy, who grew up surrounded by vibrant hues, pattern, and texture, draws heavily from her Egyptian roots. “My father is from Egypt, so I grew up in a house where color was everywhere, pattern on pattern was everywhere, and that has stuck with me from the beginning,” says Fahmy. “Bold tiles can be such a game changer in interiors. It’s a way to pack a punch, to do something expressive and chic that can stay for years to come.” Clay x HoM is designed to bring personality and boldness to spaces, encouraging designers and homeowners to embrace color with confidence.

Haus of Meeshie is known for interiors that are creatively unhinged, fearless, and unapologetic. Her work transforms interiors into reflections of her clients’ personalities, blending color, pattern, and craftsmanship in unexpected ways. “Color is so instinctual. If it feels right, it probably is,” says Fahmy. “My hope is that when people experience my work and this collection, it stirs something in them, whether a memory or a sense of joy. My goal is that they take away something from it.”

From candy-hued pinks and deep reds that flirt with nostalgia to the electric contrast of turquoise and terra, the Clay x HoM palette moves between earth and water, structure and sensuality. Each combination evokes a different emotion: Wildflower and Dragonfly Gloss, Confetti and Americano Gloss, Brandy and Plum Gloss, Terra and Turquoise and Crackle, Burgundy and Dragonfly Gloss, and Barro and Americano Matte. The tiles are offered in a mix of classic and trumpet shapes and come in a range of sizes that invite playful patterning and installation. Clay x HoM launches November 12, 2025, exclusively at www.clayimports.com/clayxhom.
