Century Furniture names John Jokinen Vice President of Upholstery  

August 7, 2025 – Century Furniture is proud to announce the appointment of John  Jokinen as Vice President of Upholstery. In this new role, Jokinen will oversee all  aspects of sales and marketing for Century’s expansive upholstery divisions. 

With a strong background in luxury home furnishings, Jokinen brings a wealth of  industry experience and market insight. As Vice President, he will be responsible for  driving strategic growth across Century’s upholstery offerings, leading the sales and  marketing teams, and strengthening customer relationships to further enhance  Century’s position in the high-end upholstery market.  

“John brings a deep understanding of the high-end upholstery category and  longstanding relationships within the industry,” said Alex Shuford, CEO of Rock House  Designer Brands. “His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to evolve our  upholstery business and align our product offerings with emerging market  opportunities.” 

Prior to joining Century, Jokinen served as Vice President of Sales, Brand Ambassador,  and OEM Relationship Manager at EJ Victor, his family’s company. He began his  career as a territory representative in Florida, gaining hands-on experience and  building a strong network of industry partners. Jokinen will report directly to Alex  Shuford in his new role.

Jokinen holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Relations from the University of North  Carolina Chapel Hill. He resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with his family.
