Broyhill Family Foundation Awards new grant to future designers summit 

HIGH POINT, NC, February 10, 2026 — The Bienenstock Furniture Library has received an expanded grant from the Broyhill Family Foundation, Inc., to fund a new student scholarship for its annual Future Designers Summit.

The foundation has increased its prior year commitment of $5,000 to $7,500 for 2026. This boost allows the library to award an additional $2,500 scholarship during this fall’s educational event, scheduled for September 23–25.

The Future Designers Summit is an immersive home furnishings industry experience for college-level students developed by library staff and board members in collaboration with leading designers, manufacturers, and industry professionals. The three-day intensive in High Point is designed to nurture next-generation talent from across the country in fields including furniture and industrial design, interior design, and merchandising.

“Grants and donations are vital to attracting top-tier young talent to our unique design summit,” said Karla Jones, Executive Director of the Bienenstock Furniture Library. “We are deeply grateful to the Broyhill family for their continued investment in the future of our industry.”

The application deadline to participate in this year’s summit is March 1. Approximately 40 design students will be selected.
