Blu Dot elevates the everyday with new designs for Fall

(MINNEAPOLIS) SEPTEMBER 2025: Blu Dot, the award-winning furniture and accessories brand known for its playful approach to modern design, is excited to unveil a range of new work for Fall 2025—available to purchase online and in select retail locations. With these new pieces, Blu Dot goes back to basics and reminds us that great design isn’t about following formulas, but about approaching the fundamentals—color, form, texture, and scale—with intentionality. Brought from concept to completion by Blu Dot’s in-house design collective, the lineup of new pieces is priced between $95 and $3,895 and includes sofas, beds, dining chairs, and accessories alongside expanded material palettes and finish options.

Highlights include:

  • Softmore Sofa – A study in tightly tailored construction, Softmore combines deep comfort with crisp style. Designed to invite relaxation without visual weight, it features a slim frame, floating base, and elevated sit that works well in a variety of contexts. Detailed with unique standing seams, the sofa showcases high quality upholstery options from Kvadrat and Maharam.
  • Parentheses Dining Chair – Compact and sculptural, this is modern art you can sit on. Parentheses is built from pure forms that meet edge-to-edge—without overlaps or visual clutter. Hidden zippers, custom brackets, and our signature Blu Dot glides keep it as poised at the dining table as it is on its own. Upholstery comes in Butterscotch Leather, Moss Velvet, Gabro Grey, and Sylvan Bone.

FableStorageConsole– Crafted with intention and full of character, Fable is a material narrative. Distressed Olive and Grey Blue leathers meet custom brass pulls, while the minimal silhouette lets those materials take the lead. Understated, but full of main character energy.Over-Under Bed – Warm wood, handwoven Danish paper cord, and a weaving pattern inspired by basketry give Over-Under depth and texture. A taller headboard paired with a lower footboard keeps sight lines open, while proportions nod to Scandinavian classics without slipping into Blandinavian territory. ShoegazeShoeRack– Not just a shoe rack, a showpiece. Shoegaze transforms any space into a gallery for your favorite footwear—with a catch-all for that extra little something. Mix-and-match solid wood and powder-coated aluminum panels are available in White Oak, Walnut, Grey Blue, Oblivion, Carmine, and White.

Beyond new releases, Blu Dot continues to enrich its existing lines with thoughtful additions:

  • Strut Tables– A modern icon enters its third decade with five new finishes: GreyBlue, Rust, Celery, Berry,andlimited-editionCobalt. Still unmistakably Strut—built to last.
  • Hoard Collection adds a large-scale coffee table with a sculptural organically-inspired form.
  • EskerCollectionadds a sleeper option for spaces that flex between living and hosting.
  • Murmur Collection introduces a new taller storage cabinet to the mix. Hidden hinges tucked inside solid wood door panels are a hardware detail worth noticing. ABOUTBLUDOT

Blu Dot are designers, manufacturers, and distributors of modern furnishings and accessories. Founded in 1997 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the American company was started by three college friends who dreamed of bringing good design to as many people as possible. Almost thirty years later, the business is still led by co-founder and CEO John Christakos, and has expanded to include retail locations across the United States, Mexico, and Australia.

Blu Dot’s approach to design has always been guided by practicality, accessibility, and a healthy dose of irreverence. While their offering has expanded and diversified to satisfy the needs of both residential and commercial customers across multiple categories, every design the company produces out of their Minneapolis headquarters demonstrates the same level of thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and purpose. For this, they were recognized in 2018 with a National Design Award from the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
