NEW YORK (October 8, 2025) – BAS Stone, the distinguished New York City-based stoneyard renowned for sourcing exceptional stone from around the world for architects, designers and builders alike, announces the release of its first-ever designer collaboration, a signature capsule collection by Alvin Wayne, founder and principal designer of Alvin Wayne Interiors.
The collaboration brings together BAS Stone’s refined offering of unique stone and Wayne’s expressive design sensibility. The result is a striking edit of six unique slabs—favoring rich greens, deep oranges, and statement-making veining—that showcase the dramatic potential of natural stone.
“Stone has the extraordinary ability to add contrast and movement to whatever space it is placed in, and this project is my love letter to the medium,” said Alvin Wayne, founder and principal designer of Alvin Wayne Interiors. “I’ve long admired the quality and creativity of BAS Stone’s expert curation and sourcing, and getting to work directly with their team to design my capsule collection is a dream come true. Each of my selections were chosen for their richness and depth and to spark joy and elegance to all who come across it.”
The official BAS Stone x Alvin Wayne selection features six distinct slabs:
- Dedalus Polished 2cm: a dark green with slate grey marbling details
- Rosa Aurora Fantastico Honed 2cm: a pink and grey stone with darker shadowing
- San Simone Polished 2cm: a striking brown and white with threads of green
- Breccia Antica 2m: a reddish amber mapped with slate grey and white
- Calacatta Macchia Vecchia 2m: a white and grey marble streaked with golden browns
- Breccia Di Versailles Polished 2cm: a classic grey flecked with golds, browns and yellows
