ASID announces robust programming for NeoCon 2025 at The Mart in Chicago

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is announce its participation at NeoCon 2025, taking place June 9–11 at THE MART in Chicago. ASID will lead an array of in-person and virtual programs, including keynote presentations, panel discussions, student-focused events, and digital sessions. The Society’s presence at NeoCon continues its commitment to advancing meaningful conversations across all sectors of the design industry.

ASID’s curated programming features presentations by a diverse group of thought leaders and design innovators. Highlights include Design as an Attitude, a keynote from author and Design Emergency podcast cofounder Alice Rawsthorn, who will explore design’s role as an open-ended agent of change. The ASIDx10 Collective will host Co-Creating Spaces of Inclusivity and Connectivity, a panel examining inclusivity and collaboration within the architecture and design community.

Student engagement remains a key focus, with events such as the Student Showroom Tour and Lunch with the ASID Illinois Chapter and the Rise Above: ASID Student Interview Workshop, moderated by ASID CEO Khoi Vo. These programs offer students hands-on experiences and professional development opportunities.

Additional programming includes The Future 50: ASID Trends Imagine for Tomorrow, where ASID educator Dawn Haynie, Ph.D., and industry leaders will discuss findings from ASID’s 2025 Trends Outlook Report, and Behavior by Design: Can Design Make Us Better People?, a virtual session exploring how spatial design influences human behavior. Another virtual session, Digital Craftsmanship: Leveraging Tech for Bespoke Design, will spotlight how early collaboration between designers and fabricators can optimize outcomes.
