Designer panel to discuss materiality, plus COSENTINO brings CEU course to lunch and learn
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Adriana Hoyos Furnishings announces two separate but related educational events in the luxury brand’s showroom during the opening weekend of High Point Market, April 25-26.
On Saturday, leading designers will explore the topic of materiality. The panel includes distinguished voices from the design industry, including Adriana Hoyos, Anne-Marie Barton, Kelly Collier Clark, Traci Connell, and Alena Capra, as the moderator—sharing their insights on the role materials play in luxury interior design.
“A piece of furniture only has soul when it becomes part of your life—like a chair that stays comfortable through a long talk, or a table that makes a room feel anchored,” says Hoyos, who specifies materials to support the way her clients live. “I don’t choose materials just because they look good; I choose them because they have character and can handle real life.”
An interactive audience Q&A and refreshments will follow Saturday’s panel discussion.
On Sunday, the showroom will host leading surface material resource COSENTINO for a CEU-accredited “Lunch and Learn” event, unpacking the functional performance and other benefits of ultracompact surfacing (UCS) materials like Dekton, which Adriana Hoyos Furnishings specifies for dining furniture and accent table tops.
“I want to create pieces that you aren’t afraid to touch or use every day—furniture that stays beautiful as it ages and brings a sense of calm to your home,” adds Hoyos, who leads design for the global furnishings brand that bears her name.
