What’s happening in Vegas: A first look at new furniture

Sumptuous fabrics, exquisite details and functional features like hidden storage make these furniture debuts must-haves. See some of what vendors will highlight during the Las Vegas Market July 24-28.

Contemporary in style and generous in functionality, the Silas sideboard offers plenty of storage for any dining room, living room or office, says Walker Edison, based outside Salt Lake City. The eye-catching vertical detailing also acts as door pulls. The sideboard features adjustable interior shelving for a customizable storage of linens, chinaware or other entertainment accessories. This striking black-and-cream console table from Memphis-Tennessee-based Creative Co-Op will add a touch of rustic glamour to a dining space or entryway. Inspired by the Southwest, it showcases iridescent genuine bone inlay and a minimalist mango wood silhouette. (C712, C788 & C796)

Modway’s Nora swivel chair offers relaxing modern comfort. Upholstered in a sophisticated boucle fabric with a charming nubby texture, it features dense foam padding and a spring support system for durable comfort. “Resting on a gold metal swivel base, this accent chair effortlessly rotates to suit the needs of the moment,” says the Hightstown, New Jersey-based company. The W dining table from Mobital in Laval, Quebec, speaks volumes. With a slate ceramic top and strikingly angled metal black legs, it has practical features like a scratch-resistant top and an extension leaf mechanism. It retails for $$3,199. (B775)

The inviting Dune swivel lounge chair is also from Mobital. Dressed in a textural teddy fabric, it comes in Army, Cream and Rose hues. The chair retails for $1,749. (B775)
