Milan, Italy – April 2026 — Artemest announces the fourth edition of L’Appartamento by Artemest, opening during Milan Design Week 2026. Returning to the storied Palazzo Donizetti on Via Gaetano Donizetti 48, this year’s exhibition unveils a new curatorial chapter dedicated to Italian Grandeur—a tribute to the enduring magnetism of Italy’s artistic legacy, architectural language, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Conceived as an immersive journey inspired by the spirit of the Grand Tour, the 2026 edition invites five internationally renowned interior design studios to reinterpret the essence of Italian cultural capitals—Venice, Florence, Rome, Naples, and Palermo—through a contemporary lens. Across a sequence of distinct environments, each space becomes a layered homage to place and centuries-old craft traditions, offering a refined dialogue between past and present.

A jewel of 19th-century Milanese architecture, Palazzo Donizetti provides an evocative framework for the exhibition’s vision. Frescoed ceilings, refined ornamentation, and the palazzo’s striking elliptical staircase create a rhythm of intimacy and theatricality—an atmosphere that mirrors the exhibition’s vision: a seamless encounter between heritage and contemporary expression.

Within this remarkable setting, five acclaimed design studios—Sasha Adler Design, March and White Design, Rockwell Group, Charlap Hyman & Herrero, and Urijowan Alsharif Interiors—each transform a distinct space, showcasing a curated selection of Italian furniture, lighting, and décor by Artemest’s finest artisans.

Sasha Adler Design reimagines the Entrance and Reading Room as a tribute to Venice.
Rockwell Group brings the vibrant spirit of Naples to the Dining Room.
March and White Design shapes the Living Room in homage to Rome.
Charlap Hyman & Herrero transforms the Entertainment Rooms, drawing inspiration from Palermo’s 19th-century aristocratic salons.
Urijowan Interiors completes the journey with a Bedroom reflecting Florence’s legacy of harmony, proportion, and humanist culture.

For the first time, the L’Appartamento by Artemest experience extends outdoors, with a thoughtfully curated and furnished courtyard that deepens the exhibition’s immersive narrative and invites visitors into an additional moment of discovery. With its distinctive setting and compelling curatorial vision, the fourth edition of L’Appartamento by Artemest promises a multisensory journey through Italy’s artistic capitals—an immersive celebration of craftsmanship, cultural legacy, and the timeless resonance of Italian design.
