Now, he is debuting his first fabric collection, The California Collection, inspired by his childhood spent in Northern California, namely his beloved family ranch in the foothills of Sierra Nevada.

The inaugural edition of DESIGN MIAMI.LA opens today, taking place until May 20, 2024 at a private Holmby Hills estate. From the post-war mid-century design boom and car culture, to the entertainment industry and space age engineering, the fair explores themes of eclecticism, imagination, and nostalgia – all integral to the city’s design landscape.
Los Angeles-based designer Jenny Miller infuses a warm, California-cool aesthetic into her interiors, and she is bringing those same sun-drenched landscapes to her premier collection of wall coverings and art prints at Miller House, aptly titled “The California Garden Collection.”

The Other Art Fair Los Angeles will take place from April 4th to April 7th at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
Entitled The Role of Media in Shaping Client Expectations, the panel will offer a thought-provoking discussion with a lineup of design industry experts including celebrity designer Kelli Ellis, Design News Now Editor in Chief Courtney Porter, and AD photographer Tori Sikkema.
Christopher Kempel started working in architecture in the early 90s which places him in a strange place between the older generation who predominantly hand-render and the younger generation who predominantly digitally-render. He sees the value of both. That is a common thread when you talk to Kempel: his ability to bring different groups together and unite them for a shared mission.
