New York, NY – Schumacher, the venerable American design house, is proud to announce the August opening of a to-the-trade-only Schumacher Studio in Richmond, Virginia. The mission of the 1,800 square-foot space: To serve as a full-service, go-to resource for designers and a destination for all things decorating.
“Richmond holds a meaningful place in our expansion story,” says Schumacher North America President Emily Romero. “The city has a deep architectural heritage, a refined aesthetic sensibility, and one of the most distinctive design identities in the South. At the Schumacher Studio, designers will have access to the most relevant range of what we offer in a space designed to accommodate how they actually work. It is intended to function like an extension of their own personal resource libraries, a place where they can work alongside the F. Schumacher &Co. team, seek out inspiration, and build connections within the greater design community.”
At the studio, which is located at 4917 Grove Avenue, designers will have access to almost 10,000 wallcovering, fabric, and trim samples from Schumacher and sister brands, including Patterson Flynn, Backdrop, Tillett Textiles, and more. There will be a dedicated workspace for hosting client meetings and creating design schemes in tandem with the Schumacher sales team. The studio will also host frequent design-industry events.
