Lightovation Attendees Can Enter Daily Giveaways to Win a Hope Lamp
SALT LAKE CITY (June 2, 2026)— Varaluz is shining a light on healing, hope, and restoration through the Hope Lamp, a meaningful lighting design created to support children who are survivors of sexual abuse, trafficking, and exploitation. Through its philanthropic initiative, for every Hope Lamp purchased, Varaluz will donate another lamp to a shelter or organization serving children on their journey toward healing.
The Hope Lamp was originally conceived through a collaboration between Julie Whitehead, a survivor of child sexual abuse, domestic abuse, and human sex trafficking, the Malouf Foundation and CIANA Lighting. More than a decorative lighting fixture, the lamp was created as a symbol of resilience, comfort, and hope for survivors.
The lamp has also become closely aligned with Rooms Restored™, a signature initiative of the Malouf Foundation that transforms bedrooms and healing spaces for child survivors of abuse and exploitation. “It’s our hope that these lamps find their way into homes everywhere—not just as beautiful pieces, but as reminders,” said Sam Malouf, President of Malouf and Co-founder of the Malouf Foundation. “Reminders that survivors are not forgotten. Reminders that healing is possible. Reminders that the light never goes out.”
Varaluz Founder and Design Lead Ron Henderson said the partnership reflects the company’s longstanding belief that design can have a meaningful impact beyond aesthetics.
