Gift for Life, in partnership with industry-leading home furnishings manufacturers and market-makers, announced that the Home vs. Hunger event during the recent High Point Market raised $17,700 for World Central Kitchen’s crisis-related hunger relief programs.
“We can’t begin to express our gratitude to Gift for Life’s Home vs. Hunger team,” said Cole Daugherty, chair of Gift for Life. “They did an extraordinary job of organizing, partnering and delivering a first-ever event at High Point Market. Gift for Life’s home market debut event was well-attended by top home brands, influential media and design community movers and shakers.”
Held Oct. 21 in the Eichholtz home furnishings showroom in the heart of market area, the “get to know you” event raised the money with generous donations from Eichholtz and rug brand Loloi, as well as many individual contributions from the home industry and design community. During the evening, Home vs. Hunger committee members shared information about World Central Kitchen and Gift for Life’s fundraising efforts.
Following the successful market events, the Home vs. Hunger committee will be developing an ongoing series of fundraising activities at High Point Market.
