Coming to High Point November 12 and 13, Design Forward is two days of education focused on designing with neurodiversity in mind. Divided into three tracks, sessions are tailored for interior designers and home furnishings professionals, REALTORS, and the greater community of parents, teachers, small business owners and others interested in connecting the dots between cognitive disabilities, disorders and design.

O’Shea-Evans takes us on a journey through the pages of “Alpine Style,” sharing insights into her creative process, the surprises she encountered along the way, and how her background in travel writing influenced her approach to mountain design. From the challenges of capturing a room’s essence in words to the joys of exploring regional inspirations, O’Shea-Evans offers a candid look at the making of her book.

Focusing on issues including practice rights, economic initiatives, environmental policies, and fair and accessible housing, ASID’s advocates met with six members of congress, including five members of the House of Representatives and one senator, representing half a dozen states and both political parties.The advocates also requested legislators’ support, or continued support for bills and other initiatives that advance these policy areas of interest to interior designers.
