Populus Seattle, a new carbon positive hotel opening in late Spring 2025

This news follows the fall 2024 opening of Populus Denver, recently named Hotel of the Year by Esquire, and honored by TIME, Travel + Leisure, and AFAR as a best new hotel, and is extremely significant as it also marks the start of Populus Hotels as a growing hotel collection. Populus Seattle will be the country’s second carbon positive hotel and will implement the same robust sustainability initiatives established with Populus Denver, including planting a tree for every night’s stay as a part of the One Night, One Tree program, but will be an adaptive reuse property – preserving the building’s 1907 history – with an immersive Pacific Northwest rainforest-inspired feel unique to its Seattle location.
