Wendy was an early adopter of Houzz, advertising on the platform as far back as 2015. She still attributes much of her success to Houzz, and specifically being an early adopter. For a designer getting started today, they may not have as much success on the already saturated platform. It may behoove them to get experimental and trailblaze a newer platform. Find the place in the Wild West that doesn’t already have a populated boom town and become the mayor.

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Foundation has announced the winners of its Legacy Scholarships, Polsky Award and Prize, Eno Grant, and the David Barrett Memorial Scholarship. The ASID Foundation, in partnership with ASID Industry Partners, provides annual scholarships and grants to expand research and knowledge around the impact of interior design on behavior, health, and well-being.

Artist and interior designer, Stephanie Poulsen shared, “Being accepted into the Salon des Refusés – Emerging Artist Exhibition is a dream come true! I am truly honored to be part of this inaugural event and to be selected to share some of my work. This is an incredible opportunity that our community worked to create as a leading art exhibit and will highlight so many talented artists and their exemplary work.”

The La Cienega Design Quarter’s much-awaited annual LEGENDS event kicks into high gear in 2023 with an expanded membership, an enticing “The Fashion of Home” theme, a nod to fashion royalty, and the announcement of the inimitably fashionable – and absolute forces in design – Ken Fulk and Alexa Hampton as the recipients of LCDQ’s Living Legend Awards.
