Event schedule and participating designers unveiled – tickets now available to ’Shop for Good’
Raleigh, NC – August 29, 2024 – The Green Chair Project is thrilled to announce the return of its signature fundraising event, Chairity, from September 18-20, 2024. This annual event plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission to furnish homes and change lives by providing families in need with essential household items.
Chairity 2024 will feature 15 beautifully curated rooms brought to life by local interior designers using generously donated products from the home furnishings industry. These spaces will showcase a variety of furnishings, fabrics, rugs, lighting, art, and accessories, all expertly arranged to create an immersive design experience. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase items from these designer-inspired spaces and bid on twelve unique ‘reimagined chairs’ crafted by local designers. Prior to the event, the reimagined chairs will be available for viewing at Artspace in Downtown Raleigh on
September 6-7, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, and on September 8, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Bidding for these pieces will begin online on September 16.
“Well-equipped homes are essential for health and stability, preventing homelessness and fostering wellbeing,” says Rae Marie Czuhai, CEO of The Green Chair Project. “Chairity, our largest fundraising event, provides the crucial resources we need to ensure every child has a bed of their own and every family has the essential household items needed to make a house a home. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, designers and donors for creating an opportunity for the community to ‘shop for good’. All proceeds from the event support our mission to furnish homes and change lives.”
The Green Chair is honored to have Lenovo and Wells Fargo as their Presenting Sponsors for the event. These companies, along with our generous community and business donors, are helping us ensure we can achieve our goals to furnish 1,200 households with the essentials of home, and provide 1,440 children with a bed of their own in 2024.
