Lauren Rottet opens NYC showroom for furniture line

Award-winning architect and interior designer Lauren Rottet, FAIA, FIIDA, has opened a new 3,900-square-oot showroom in New York to showcase her Rottet Collection of furniture.

“In a world of throwaway, Rottet Collection is produced with the finest materials and workmanship, designed to endure and be passed down from generation to generation.  It elevates furniture as a ‘collectible,’ artful object in the room” says Rottet, principal of the Rottet Studio, with offices in Houston, Los Angeles and New York.  “We are excited to introduce our New York showroom to the market.”

The new showroom is at 29 W. 30th St. in New York.

Rottet Collection pieces are akin to functional art, bringing energy, reflection and flexibility to any room, according to a news release. Within the new showroom at 29 W. 30th St., the furnishings are arranged in welcoming vignettes, decorated with Rottet’s complementary accessories styled with plantings, organic forms and contemporary art. Each piece is a thoughtful expression of art and function inspired by the Light and Space movement, as well as Rottet’s art and architecture background, the news release says.

Key pieces include the Walking bench, with its angled legs; the colorful and translucent Dichroic table; and Ovo mirrors, which add a glow to the showroom. Rottet’s Powerful tables and cabinets are sleek, versatile and provide hidden access to electrical outlets.
