Hudson Valley Lighting Group Announces Malaina Matheus as CEO
HVLG Founder and CEO David Littman will move to new role of Executive Chairman with current President Malaina moving to CEO come September 1, 2026
Wappingers Fall, NY (August 12, 2026) – Hudson Valley Lighting Group (HVLG) today announced that Malaina Matheus will become Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2026. Founder and current CEO David Littman will transition to the role of Executive Chairman and remain closely involved with the company, working alongside Matheus and the leadership team on its continued growth and long-term strategy.
The leadership transition has been thoughtfully planned by Littman and Matheus and reflects the evolution of Matheus’ responsibilities within the organization. A 16-year veteran of HVLG, Matheus has played a central role in the company’s growth, building its sales organization, leading its expansion into new markets, and helping guide the acquisitions of Sonneman and Schoolhouse. Throughout her tenure, she has developed a deep understanding of HVLG’s business and the broader industry, as well as the relationships with customers, partners, and employees that have helped shape the company into what it is today.
