Decor News Now has announced changes to its editorial team. Current DNN Editor-in-Chief Julie A. Palm has been named executive editor and contributing editor Courtney Porter has been promoted to editor-in-chief.
Porter combines a deep understanding of luxury design, business development and the tech media landscape to deliver insightful reporting in a voice and format respected throughout the industry. Interior designers, architects, showrooms and retail brands rely on her expertise to elevate their businesses and expand their influence. Alongside designer Lori Dennis, she co-authored “Green Interior Design” and hosted the popular show “Behind the Bar” for DesignCampus.com, interviewing the industry’s top designers, architects and manufacturers.
“The goal here is to recognize the outstanding contributions of both writers,” said Rick Harrison, group publisher. “Julie has an unmatched eye for product and design trends, while Courtney has a strong feel for the interplay of technology, media and fashion and their collective impact on the home category. Her focus is on where the industry is headed: how technology is revolutionizing the way we do business, and what the next generation of design professionals and their clients want. Having Courtney more directly involved in publication management with continuing editorial contributions from Julie will enhance DNN’s position as the go-to for designers and design-focused retail.”
