60th anniversary Pasadena Showcase House now open

(April 21, 2025) Pasadena, California. The Pasadena Showcase House of Design has opened for the 60th year, continuing a long tradition as one of the nation’s oldest, largest, and most successful home & garden tours. The 60th Showcase House has reimagined Bauer Estate & Gardens, a 1928 Monterey colonial estate with 15,000 square feet of living space on five acres of botanical gardens. Public tours of the Showcase House take place through May 18, 2025.

Bauer Estate & Gardens was officially unveiled during the annual Premiere Night Gala on Friday evening, with 373 members, designers, and supporters in attendance. Over $215,000 was raised to support the organization’s music programs, as well as grants for local nonprofit organizations, including those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires. Proclamations celebrating the 60th Showcase House were received from Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger.

Following just four short months of renovation, over 30,000 guests will tour through the 30+ interior and landscape design spaces highlighting cutting-edge trends in high-style living. Guests can expect the famous Shops at Showcase, offering a variety of boutique vendors, as well as several on-site restaurants offering hot meals, grab & go snacks, as well as beer, wine, and cocktails. Entertainment and programming is offered throughout the event showcasing local musicians, docent-led garden tours, weekend brunches, guest chef dinners, and more.

We are in awe of our designers who remain committed to this project.”

The Pasadena Showcase House of Design is the annual and only fundraising event for Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization. Earlier this year, Pasadena Showcase honored the occasion by announcing it had awarded $1 million in grants to 90 nonprofits. All grant requests from schools and organizations impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires were fully-funded, ensuring their important work in music and art continues during this challenging time.

The Showcase House is open to the public through May 18, Tuesdays through Sundays. For tickets and information, visit pasadenashowcase.org/tickets or call 626.606.1600.

Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts has supported local music and arts programs since 1948. Throughout its history, Pasadena Showcase has given more than $27 million to nonprofit organizations, particularly through its Gifts & Grants program, in support of music education,
scholarships, concerts, and music therapy, while continuing to support the LA Phil. Pasadena Showcase nurtures the study and appreciation of music among young people with its three annual music programs: the Music MobileTM, which has introduced orchestral instruments to more than 130,000 third grade students; the Instrumental Competition, which has awarded more than $700,000 in monetary prizes for exceptionally talented young musicians; and the Youth Concert, which has brought nearly 260,000 fourth graders to Walt Disney Concert Hall for exuberant performances presented by the LA Phil.
